We are looking for a Hospitality guru to join our team as a Regional Manager within Eurest. Being an innovative trend-setter with a passion for enhancing customer experience is a pre-requisite for this role. The individual indirectly manages operational elements and functions at a strategic level; responsible for ensuring that Eurest-managed corporate food solutions operate optimally. A master of motivation is required to drive teams across client sites with a core focus on client engagement, managing profitability, sustainability and growth. The role requires some travel across Johannesburg and will focus on key accounts within the Compass Group.

Education & Experience:

    • Tertiary qualification in Food Services Management/Hospitality
    • At least 5 - 7 years experience in a people management role
    • Health and Safety knowledge is advantageous
    • Experience in a similar role within Food Services/Hospitality sector is highly advantageous
    • Experience in costing, budgets, forecasts and invoicing is essential
    • Experience in highly commercial and sensitive markets
    • Experience of working within brand guidelines to deliver results
    • Proven experience in leading successful teams
    • Experience in end to end disciplinary processes
    • Experience in building and sustaining business relationships with Blue Chip commercial clients
    • Experience in managing large projects

Key areas of responsibility

    • Assist the sales team with prospective sales bids and presentations
    • Be able to mobilise new contracts when required  delivering what has been sold within the tender process
    • Manage subordinates to ensure operational issues relevant to the business are resolved
    • Have full knowledge of the entire hospital’s ongoings in relation to SLA through the support of subordinates
    • Manage units to ensure profitability, sustainability as well as secure future business
    • Ensure contractual obligations are met and manage contracts within Service Level Agreements
    • Manage and support diverse teams to ensure realisation of strategic goals
    • Facilitate training and development of direct team in order to improve service offerings and maintain relevance
    • Ensure labour force planning is adequately done and managed in relation to budget
    • Ensure unit costs and expenditure are tightly managed and accounted for
    • Ensure assets are effectively managed and regularly audited
    • Manage and exceed client expectations in line with statutory Health, Safety and Environmental policies
    • Accurately manage all the financials of each unit with the support of subordinates
    • Attend all relevant meetings with clients and management teams and ensure communication to subordinates
    • Conduct regular risk assessments of the entire facility in relation to SLA
    • Regularly meet with the client to ensure success of contract
    • Keep clients up to date in relation to progress made or areas of concerns
